The Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors’ mission centers on protecting public safety and welfare by ensuring that only qualified individuals engage in general contracting within Alabama. To further this goal, the Board has aligned with NASCLA’s National Coordinated Enforcement initiative with other participating NASCLA State Members across the country. This collaboration aims to strengthen consumer protection, reduce illegal construction practices, and support fair competition for compliant contractors. Through these efforts, the Board contributes to a more secure and reliable construction industry in Alabama.
“During our participation in NASCLA’s National Coordinated Enforcement Effort initiative, we conducted 69 site visits that resulted in 27 violations. This partnership underscores our commitment to oversight and enforcement, enhancing industry compliance and public safety. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with NASCLA and its members to upload lawful standards in the construction field,” said Tiffany Loveless, Executive Director of the Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors.
